"If you fail this test, you’ll lose your scholarship."
My heart sank. I had worked so hard, yet it felt like everything was slipping away. All that time spent studying, staying up late to prepare, and balancing part-time work just to make ends meet... all of it was on the line..
I was on the verge of losing everything I had worked for.
This wasn’t just about failing a test; it was about losing my shot at finishing college, falling into deeper student debt, and dealing with the shame of letting myself and my family down.
And all because I couldn’t finish the test in time. I knew the material, but the pressure was too much.
I started to wonder, ‘How did I let this happen?’
I had studied for hours... so why was I still struggling?
I really wanted to get out of the hole...
So, I tried many many things…
❌ I spent endless hours at the library, cramming as much information as possible.
❌ I created countless flashcards, hoping repetition would make the content stick.
❌ I even skipped out on social events, thinking more time alone would help me focus.
Yet, nothing seemed to work…
Then, one day, after another long night of cramming at the library, I sat back, staring at my notes, feeling completely drained. No matter how hard I tried, nothing seemed to stick.
That’s when it hit me: I was stuck in what I now call ‘The Study Trap 🕳️.’
What is the Study Trap, you ask?
It’s that overwhelming feeling when too much information comes at you too fast, leaving no time to process it. It’s like trying to drink from a firehose—drowning in information overload, with nothing sticking.
Then I remembered something…
🔹 My experience in karate taught me that practice is everything. Just learning something once isn’t enough.
If you don’t practice consistently, it won’t stick—especially when you’re under pressure. And the more stressed you are, the harder it becomes to think clearly and actually use what you’ve learned. No wonder I was freezing up during the actual tests.
That’s when I decided to change my approach.
Instead of cramming everything into one overwhelming study session, I broke the material down into smaller, manageable challenges—mini-tests that allowed me to practice consistently without overwhelming myself.
By doing this, I could:
Fail > Learn from mistakes > WIN > Increase the difficulty > Fail > Learn from the mistake > WIN > WIN... > WIN... and So On...
In other words, I approached studying like a game — turning each mini-test into a small challenge I could win. This way, I built my confidence gradually without the pressure of having to master everything at once.
That’s the hack!
It wasn’t just about studying harder; it was about practicing smarter.
So, I developed a series of mini-tests that allowed me to fail safely, build confidence, and master the material bit by bit, until I was fully prepared for the real exam.
And it was working! At least for just a little while...
But I faced a HUGE problem…
👇👇👇
I was BUSY.
Between part-time work, college assignments, and everything else, finding time to create those mini-tests was nearly impossible! 😫
I needed a way to make this process quicker and more efficient, without sacrificing the effectiveness.
I needed to find a better way to do this, even while being busy.
Something that wouldn’t require too much time or effort on my part…
Then I remembered something else from my karate training…
It was this: In order to master any skill, there are 4 key principles that make the process faster ⏩⏩⏩⏩.
These are the same principles that experts have used for centuries to master any skill or subject in a fast and efficient manner.
Which made me think… What if we could incorporate those 4 karate principles into my study sessions?
I realized that by incorporating these principles into my mini-tests, I was able to make the process not only more effective but also quicker, using modern technology 🤖 to automate much of the work.
And that’s how the G.A.M.E. Learning Framework was developed.
A framework that helped me turn last-minute cramming into focused, efficient study sessions that actually worked—without spending countless hours in the library.
I’ve used it repeatedly, every time a new exam approached, and the results have been consistently impressive.
Soon, my friends and peers started asking for help, and before I knew it, we were all using this method to crush our exams together.
And guess what? My friends started coming to me for help, and before I knew it, we were all using this method to crush our exams.
So, that’s why I decided to put this Framework into a digital experience—to share this exact same approach with college students around the world, so they can benefit from it too.
